Hey Guys,
My name is Tim Newsome. I’m originally from the UK and soccer football, like many, is a big passion of mine. I have been fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to work and live as a soccer coach in California, USA! I have been here for almost four years now and loving every minute.
I have always wanted to take my soccer expertise online and I’m going to give it a go with this site. I will be offering free online soccer tutorials for everyone. These tutorials, which I post on this site, will consist of “Skillz and Drillz” involving indoor and outdoor soccer, which of course can be useful in both. I may post insightful articles regarding ‘the beautiful game’ and anything to a personal taste of mine. I also coach two full-time competitive soccer teams year round. I will possibly share with you short videos with my teams and hopefully shed insight on how I work as as a coach.
I would very much like your opinion, whether it be ‘Good, bad or the ugly’. Please rate, comment and subscribe to my videos, photos and comments. I would love to hear from you and I’m hoping to pick up more ideas too.
I have a ton of ideas to share on this site so please support me to get this going. Please subscribe to my YouTube Channel, ‘Like’ my page on Facebook and follow me on Twitter

Coach Tim grew up with the game of soccer. He played from a very young age through college and semi-professionally in England. Coach Tim has been coaching since 2002, first for Wycombe Wanderers Football Club in England and with the Major League Soccer (MLS) youth programs and the Sunnyvale Alliance Soccer Club in the U.S. He also coached at Gunn High School in Palo Alto and St Lawrence Academy in Santa Clara. Coach Tim also coached with Shrewsbury Town Football Club’s (Professional soccer team in England) U14 youth team. Shrewsbury Town is also the home of Joe Hart, Englands current #1 goalkeeper. Joe played for Shrewsbury town before moving to Manchester City.
Tim completed his Masters degree in Sports Management and the Business of Football from Birkbeck University of London, in September 2008.
Coach Tim embarked on an adventure during the month of October, 2008 as he went to Zambia, Southern Africa, to coach soccer to children. Zambia has one of the world’s most devastating HIV and AIDS epidemics and coach Tim used soccer to reach young people to increase their understanding of HIV and AIDS and enable them to live safe and healthy lives.
